Shaper In Residence - Nothing Surfcrafts
Starting out as a fashion brand in order to keep us close to surfing sounds a bit counterintuitive, but in fact, it is exactly what keeps us in forward motion.
Our relationship with Zé Raimundo predates the founding of Fairly Normal. His boards have been taking up considerable space inside our cars, hallways, and any unoccupied corner of our city apartments, to the chagrin of our significant others.
If you've set foot in one of our stores, you'll have seen his boards: the New V, Dual, Parallax, and others. If you haven't, chances are you've spotted them in lineups around Lisbon, usually under very skilled feet.
Aside from these tried and tested models, Zé has shaped one-off experimental boards for Fairly Normal, such as the High Line and the Flatspell.
It makes sense, then, that no one else would be more fitting to inaugurate our inner-city shaping bay and launch our Shaper in Residence programme than Zé.
Usually stationed in Sesimbra, this is a rare occasion to meet the craftsman behind Nothing, to order a custom, and to go over the minute details that will make a board go.
